Accepted.

Accepted, but I don't believe that's what he was doing (see below..)

What he did to offend Craig?

Craig posted a completely uninformed message in which he admitted that he
hadn't a clue what he was talking about because he hadn't been keeping up.
Thomas told him that he didn't understand (which was clear from his
message, especially the part where he said he hadn't read anything else in
the thread) and that he should catch up on reading before replying with
big threads that have lasted for weeks without him following.

Craig must have felt such a polite message was deserving of one of his
long, foul-mouthed ranting flames with zero content. If that is
appropriate in your eyes, then you are far more blind than I could ever
be and I offer you my deepest condolances and hope that you may someday
get a clue or at least start reading the messages yourself before you
start flaming since you yourself say that you have no idea what Thomas did
in the first place but assume it was something wrong. (Gee, isn't that
exactly how this started with Craig?)

<Teknix> our local telco has admitted that someone "backed into a
button on a switch" and took the entire ATM network down

<netgod> hopefully now routers are designed better, so the "network
