Does Security matter at all?

Hi
I am realy puzzled by some discussions here.
1st the quite obvious security *BUG* in the MBR, then the discussion about
autofs.
I get the idea that Debian, at least some developers here, do not care at all
about security as long as it reduces felxibility or comfort.

Security does go first, and so I take even such silly thing like disabled
x-forward as a default. (in ssh)
By pointing out that there is an other security problem as an argument to
leave this allone is, IMNSHO plainly ignorant.

oh, and btw. <sarcasm> most computers have Windows[tm] as default, we might
consider leaving that as it must have a serious reason to be that way
</sarcasm>

Greetings
