 I have also done some experimenting with a `sawfish' package.  I have
 separated config from build, and have it using the correct
 ${configuration} string.

 Take what you need from there.  This is just the sawmill/debian/*
 stuff; I check out sawfish from sourceforge CVS, (using -d sawfish)
 then standing next to it, I do:

 cvs -d /var/cvs/debian checkout -d debian.sawfish sawmill/debian
 cd sawfish
 ln -s ../debian.sawfish debian

 ... and build from that.
