The new Bind - highly recommended for security reasons - in slink
cannot be installed in a clean slink installation from the archives.
The new .deb file for bind requires a newer version of libc6 than the
one in slink.

I understand that NO new version of bind will be compiled. This is a
serious problem because bind is known to be the most preferred way to
compromise Linux systems.

The consequence is that GNU/Debian does not take security seriously.

I understand that the maintainer probably does not have a clean Debian
slink version installed in order to compile a new bind for slink.

It is NOT enough just recommend upgrade to potato. Many installations
are not able to do this as fast and easy as others.

All this is bad news for the GNU/Debian community.
