the problem with slocate is so painfully simple:

-[ -e /usr/bin/locate.old ] && LOCATE="/usr/bin/locate.old"
+[ -e /usr/bin/locate.notslocate ] && LOCATE="/usr/bin/locate.notslocate"

darn that was HARD ;-)

(btw that patch is in the BTS)
