yes.  yes.  and yes.

LILO, while the best-doccumented program ever[tm], has always been
broken, wrt disk size.  LILO is what our installer uses, and it must be
able to LO LI.  Sure, all of Robert's suggestions are possible, but all 
are insufficient for many/most(?) not-as-clueful-as-Robert users.

If the installer mandated #2, or #1, or made possible #3, then this 
could wait.  I hate to advocate it, but this warrants breaking the freeze 
for a moment.
