Fetchmail bugs erroniously closed
Bugs #54969, #54981 all #55063 deal with the fact that
the syslog option no longer works. These bug in fact still
present. If you look at the close report it states that
the bug was fixed in 5.2.4 but potato has only packaged
5.2.3.
What should I do? Reopen the bugs?

Trust the computer industry to shorten "Year 2000" to Y2K.
It was this kind of thinking that caused the problem in the first place.
