Difference in behavior between logrotate and old savelog?
I don't know if anyone cares---it's not a big deal as far as I can
tell---but I just noticed that, as far as I can tell, logrotate
doesn't ever create a whatever.log.0.
I figured this out when I went looking for some stuff that happened
yesterday, and found that my .0 log was more than a month old, dating
back to the day I moved from the traditional syslog (which uses
savelog) to syslog-ng (which uses logrotate).
I think this might be worth a note somewhere---though I'm also not
sure where exactly would be appropriate.
Mike.
