AFAICT, the only reason people need this terminal type is for compatibility with non-Debian machines (our plain xterm binary and termtype support color just fine). Since that is the case, people are going to expect good old fashioned broken backspace and delete keys from such types. Please, please reverse this change, reopen the bug, and reassign it to me (xterm). I'll sic the Sodomotron on^[^?^[^?^[^?^[^?discuss it with the bug submitter. Also, please feel free to reassign any bitching about the *contents* of the xterm.ti file to the xterm package. I kind of regard its terminfo data as *my* fire hydrant. :) -- G.
