After I upgraded Mesa, blender quit working, I'v tried switching back to
mesag3 and to mesag3+ggi, with the same results.

Hi,
has got anybody a VOODOO 3 who would try if blende crashes at his box?
I have got a tnt2 and blender works fine, so as maintainer I want to get rid of this bug!
