Just a note, I do know of a company that is hoping to base a dist on the
Solaris kernel and infrastructure and using Debian as the core of
applications. However, Debian itself will never support this as we
consider it very non-free (because it requires non-free software of the
Solaris kernel in order to use it). The same could be said for HP, AIX,
etc...
