creating binary modules



I've just finished adding module-source support to tpctl (thinkpad
configuration) so that there is a source package (very similar to
device3dfx-source).  

Now there is only one thing left - how to create the binary driver so that
it can be used "out of the box" (assuming people are using the standard
potato kernel).

BTW, which kernel are we going to ship on x86 (the only platform that tpctl
supports) - 2.2.13 or 2.2.14 (IMHO 2.2.14 would be better).
