mailing lists question

Hello,

Whats the best way to change my E-Mail address to 3 debian-* mailing
lists at the same time?

(where * = {hurd, mips, policy} throughout rest of this message)

At the moment I am subscribed as
bam-debian-*@snoopy.apana.org.au

however, due to the way I have changed my mail processing,
would rather be subscribed simply as
bam@snoopy.apana.org.au

This is what I did:

1. mail:
To: debian-*-request
From: bam@snoopy.apana.org.au
subscribe

2. Reply to confirmation request, for each mail. I believe this
worked.

3. mail:
To: debian-*-request
From: bam-debian-*@snoopy.apana.org.au
unsubscribe

4. Reply to confirmation request, using reply to feature. (Hence from
bam@debian.org, my default address for these groups).

Everything worked right up to 4, where I got the following responses:

From: debian-*-request@lists.debian.org
Subject: Re: unsubscribe bam-*-hurd@snoopy.apana.org.au
To: bam@debian.org

That looks OK. I though everything went fine, until I read the
body of the same E-Mail:

           32760 bam@snoopy.apana.org.au
bam@snoopy.apana.org.au

You have been removed from the list. [...]

It removed the wrong address!!!! Note: in the response, the correct
address was in the subject line, the incorrect address was in the
body.

Is there a bug in the mailing list manager? It said it unsubscribed
the correct address, but it actually got the wrong one. Where the
hell did the mailing list even get this address
(bam@snoopy.apana.org.au) from??? Surely, it shouldn't look at the
Sender field, if the From address is valid?

I would rather not have to send 3*2*2 messages all over again...
Is there any easier way? eg send 1 message, and 1 confirmation,
instead of 6+6?

Thanks in advance.
