ITP: Open Source Development with CVS
Open Source Development with CVS (http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/) is a book
about CVS, that works up from a tutorial all the way to advanced topics. It
seems like a very good way to learn CVS. It is publiced in dead-tree form,
and is GPL'd, although 4 chapters that "deal with the challenges and
philosophical issues inherent in running an Open Source project using CVS"
are not included in the free version.
I plan to package this, unless there are objections. It's hard to resist
packaging good dicoumentation that includes stuff like:
And Debian users can install the latest Debian package with these
commands:
floss$ apt-get update
floss$ apt-get install cvs
