I am having a tough time getting them from the tripod site at all. I
never seem to get a response from the server, so...

...I've got an account on a T3 that could host the files for http
download. I have managed now to get your source files. I'll put them up
now, and keep working on getting the binaries.
They'll be at http://members.mint.net/frodo/pine/
At some point I'll copy your HTML document up there as well, but right now
there's just a directory listing.
