Er, hm.
Ok, now things have gotten out of hand -- this and other things
(telnetd, identd, ftp, netbase) indicate we have a developer that can
no longer be trusted to do things the Right Way (defined here as the
way I and everyone I know would do it).
And NMUing all this stuff to restore sanity would be a political
nightmare, and theres no precedent for removing a maintainer from a
position.
So my question is, does APT support the merging of sources.lists so a
local package always overrides the Debian one (regardless of version)?
And can a CD set which includes corrected, but free, packages still be
called "official"?
