FPC

I have ITP'd FPC, the Free Pascal (Delphi/BP7 compatible) Compiler..
Unfortunately it's a BIG package and one I haven't had a chance to finish.
It doesn't quite buildpackage yet from what I have here because when I
left it I was in the middle of a major debian/rules cleanup. BUT, anybody
familiar with debhelper will have little trouble figuring out what is
beign done with it. If you want it, email me. Upstream people are quite
friendly.

I was hoping to have uploaded this weeks ago, but with school it looks
like I won't be able to (I've gotten VERY behind in my classes and have
been mostly waiting for other people to do the things they are supposed to
so I can do the things I am supposed to...)

Instead of doing my classwork and working on Debian I've been running
around trying to find out why this thing isn't ready when it was supposed
to be, why I haven't heard back from those people about this other thing,
etc.. 6 weeks into the term and I don't even have a way to read my books
for more than 10 minutes at a time and I'm STILL fighting with school
equipment because the people in immediate charge of the equipment can't
get the people ultimately in charge of it to teach them how to use it.
And that latter group has been ignorant of proper operation of the
equipment anyway (the difference between basic windoze/office97 courses
and intermediate network management courses..)

I could go on this tangent rant for six pages given the number and level
of dumb things otherwise intelligent (FSVO) people have done (such as
telling me they cannot make a reasonable accommodation for my disability
and install some simple software that would make the system more
accessable to me because they cannot buy it (free software) and they have
a policy against shareware even if they could (and as many times as I have
told them FREE SOFTWARE IS NOT SHAREWARE they don't seem to listen...))
but I'm not going to .... I think anyone still reading has a fair
assessment of the personal hell I've landed in for deciding that I needed
some schooling--not that anyone is actually still reading at this point!

Okay, back on topic ... What I have is not yet in upstream CVS, but I can
send you a complete tarball of my directory (CVS stuff included..) Since
I was only logging in as anon until I actually had something working and
was ready to commit (and was more sure of my ability to use CVS properly)
what I have is all you'll need to pick up where I left off.

Note that at the moment the compiler requires itself (or a cross-compiler)
to build. If someone is extremely bored and wants to help them make the
thing more portable, they'll probably be quite happy to accept the help.
