But how widely is it used? IIRC, it is orphaned upstream, and
TCFS (http://tcfs.dia.unisa.it/) is considered a better alternative.

I certainly expect it to be.

I'd prefer it if cfs' binary were renamed. If you suspect it may have been
used by local admins in a script, consider adding a warning in the postinst
(on first upgrade to a version with the new name only).
