I've been bitten by this one twice (first time I thought it was a bad
hard drive). Is this the one where the system stops allowing fork() 
and when you reboot files are randomly missing? Someone on the
-user list told me that downgrading to 2.2.7 would cure the problem. 

If that's not the case..I'm going to grab 2.0.37 ASAP and reboot!
I tried looking at the linux-kernel lists, but I couldn't find any
info (not a subscriber..didn't know what to seach for). Could someone
point me to some info on this bug?
