Sounds good. Maybe this is possible even with the current setup. Instead
of the build daemon reporting to the ones who run it, it should
additionally mail the outcome to the address in the debian/changelog or
control. 

But this only helps in the easier cases. Intervention from "architecture
specialists" will still be needed. But this should eliminate a lot of the
problems experienced so far.
