Sorry, you'll need PostgreSQL 6.5 to do this successfully, because of a 
bug in GRANT in earlier versions; see the bug database for postgresql.
Briefly, you can create a username with a hyphen in it, but you can't
grant permissions to it.

6.5 is due to be released in June; you can get the beta from
www.postgresql.org.
