these are wishlist items

* dh_installmanpages see localized manpages, such as 
  <foo>.<sect>.<locale> or <foo>.<locale>.<sect>, and install it

* why not debhelper provides dh_installmime, which will install 
  debian/<package>.mime to /usr/lib/mime/packages/<package> and insert 
    if [ -x /usr/sbin/update-mime ]; then update-mime fi
   to <package>.postinst and <pacakge>.postrm ?

* dh_installmenu and dh_installmime add "menu (>> 1.5)" and mime-support
  respectively to "Suggests:" in debian/control if these are not found
  original debian/control.
