You should add your stuff to the existing package, which is quite
flexible.  (It already has provisions for building cross compilers and
applying patches before building.)  I've cc'd this to the Debian egcs
maintainers, who should be able to answer your questions.  (In the
past I've found that they are very interested in keeping all the egcc
variants in one source package.)
