Here are some comments about revision 6:

metadata:

     Template: printer/name
     Type: String
     Default: lp
     Description: print name
       This is the name of the printer. If your printer has multiple
       names you can separate them with a `|'.

Such an entry could be better described as a list of strings.  What
about
a StringList Type ?  Or maybe a "ListOf xxx" construct will be more
general, to allow specs such as "ListOf IP", "ListOf printer", and so
on.
