(please note that my wish is applicable only if -devel is closed one
day. I'm not particularly eager to close it)

Yes, you can reply, to the poster. The rest of the interested
people should already know that if they read WNPP and the list.
At worst, change the subject field manually :)
Everything about the licence belongs to debian-*legal* list.
