And slink has 3.0.5 and potato has 3.0.7, I see. This should be a simple
matter of convincing Brian Mays that it is necessary (if he's not already
convinced), and then convincing Brian White that it should be let in
to the slink release.

I think there is a ToPIC97 in my Satellite 310CDS, now that you mention it.
I have 3.0.5; it mostly works but card change notifications don't really
work very well. (Same problem RMS was having.)
