I agree, but it is not ready.  Also, the concept of 'releasing' while
still using a beta glibc disturbs me.  I would prefer not to make it
officially 'released' until glibc 2.1 really is _finished_.  We have
enough advantages over LinuxPPC already that I don't think we should
mess ourselves up that way :)

It won't work.  At all.  See -powerpc.
