Local repository? Isn't boot floppies maintained out of the CVS on
cvs.debian.org? No?

Also, you guys ship the Installation Manual out of the same CVS
repository, right? I have some thoughts about how you could use SGML
conditionals to build different *variants* of the install manual
(i.e., for m68k, alpha) out of the same file. I don't know if this
would be a win or not -- I would think so.

Also, another nice thing the documentation could do is to read the
menu messages etc out of the code itself, rather than *duplicating*
them in the documentation. I'm all about eliminating duplication of
information, so if you change the message, it automatically changes
the documentation as well as the actual install program.

I might be able to help with some of this, esp. in case you
boot-floppies maintainers are probably not SGML gurus. And I hear
Igor can't maintain the Install Guide right now.
