I think there's a package called "pppconfig" or something like that in the
admin section. It probably does what you're looking for.
The ppp package also comes with a sample script (it's not quite intuitive
enough for people making the transition from Win95, but anyone who's ever
written a dialer script [i.e. anyone that owned a computer and used PPP
before Win95] should be able to hande it).

Strange, you must be living in a cave or something :-) Of course, I've never
been on the Red Hat or Slackware lists, so I can't say if you're correct.
