Note that there are other alternatives to blackhole, such as yell:
ftp://ftp.netcom.com/pub/bo/bobmacd/yell
Basically, this enables you to easily complain about spam while
the spam is still happening. It's fairly conservative about not
complaining to the wrong person, while still complaining to
everyone who's likely to have an interest. Note that it's possible
to get the spammer's account shut off before they've completed
a mail run... (which I consider a much better solution than
blackholing a single message).
[Yell is written to work on a non-ip connected machine, Bob is
working on a more sophisticated version that requires ip connectivity,
but he says it's not ready for prime time and currently requires
significant expertise. FYI]
