What you can do (I did that) is to port dpkg to your system and
work on a transition with every new package you're installing.
You can install Debian daemons but have to install them in the
Slackware way as well.  But from the time you replace sysvinit
your box will surprisingly use the Debian mechanism.  It's doable.
