Unless it shifted somewhere out of sight I don't think there was much
debate- the half dozen or so who posted on the topic sounded in favor.
Unless you know of any objections why don't you file a bug against
ftp.debian.org to create a science section in unstable?
Making math/ part of science/ affects more packages and maintainers, and
is probably more work for the archive maintainers (lots of override file
changes) but can be dealt with separately once science exists.
