I just worked on a package the other day that used libtool 1.2.
It seems that the workaround IS still needed (lintian complained),
and the workarounds in /usr/doc/lintian/libtool-workarounds.txt still work
just fine (I used the configure.in version, since I needed to re-run
autoconf anyway).
