NetServa Systems present a simple all-in-one solution
for small start-up ISPs. The base model NAS or dial-in
server has 24 x 33k modems (soon 56k) for dial-in clients
and 2 x 64k ISDN channels to connect to a mainstream
service provider. The OS and applications are based on
Debian GNU/Linux with all standard ISP services configured
to the clients needs and unlimited support is provided
until the system is in service, with follow-up support
contracts available to anywhere on the planet.

The system is manufactured in Australia and we believe
it could operate satisfactorily in many other countries
but field testing is limited outside of Australia thus
far. Variations on the base model can be customized and
we are working towards a 128 line x 256K ISDN (or other
WAN cards) completely self-contained in a 19" rack mount
case. The base model is also completely self-contained in
a typical AT sized consumer mini-tower including a 300 W
UPS and spare removable hard drive for backup. The servers
can be ethernetted together as modules to provide any
number of dial-in lines with various amounts and types of
upstream connectivity.

The 24 line base model sells for $10,990 AUD (approx
$7k USD, depending on exchange rates) and needs nothing
extra except the dial-up lines and upstream link to start
an ISP business (see your local telco).

Linux and open source software makes this system possible
at this price so our efforts to develop a hands-free auto
updating operating system called Dlite is available free
to all for any purpose ( http://opensrc.org/dlite/ ).
