Cron goes through the crontabs every minute and runs every command that is
scheduled to run this minute.  I suspect that you have a cron job somewhere
that is scheduled to run every minute, and hangs the child that cron forks
to run it.  A minute later, the same thing.  And again...

runq maybe?
