Well, I've given this a compile and you're right.

[ben@gilgamesh:~/src/libstdc]% mysql
mysql: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8: undefined symbol: __ti9exception
[ben@gilgamesh:~/src/libstdc]% exit

I can't find any mention of anything like this in the libstdc++
sources. Have you mailed the egcd team?
