gnotepad+ does not work with gtk 1.1 while many application that come
with Debian are linked against 1.1.  Thus you can't compile gnotepad+
on that machine.

PS: I compiled gnotepad+ on a 2nd machine with only gtk 1.0 and
all id did was to segfault.
