Both policy and GPL don't allow that however, since it would mean we
distributes binaries without source..

Richard Braakman has had a script to check dependencies for a long time
now. The results should be online somewhere, don't know where though.

What should be done is that if a ftp-admin decides to remove a package
he should announce it on -devel IMHO.
