That doesn't prevent it from being DFSG free.

That is nothing new.  GPL is also incompatible with the BSD-style
license (with an "advertisement" clause).  GPL is probably also
incompatible with the TeX or the Artistic licenses, too (due to GPL "no
other restriction" clause).
