Need for a special spreasheet application

Since I suppose some of you have had the same problem, I ask here. I need a
simple spreadsheet where I can enter the time I leave home, arrive at the
customer´s site, leave there and arrive back home. The sheet then should be
able to compute the time I spend on the road (or rather train in my special
case) and working.

I have one running under StarOffice, but SO isn´t very stable. Also it has
too big a footprint IMO and last but not least, it is not DFSG free.

I tried siag and oleo, but appearently but wasn´t able to get one going. In
siag it seems I am not able to calculate a sum of time values. But I have to
do calculations with it. And I want to be able to enter only the time, not
a string or a function.

In oleo it seems I only can enter the time value as string. After that I
need to do some conversions that I didn´t find. Also I wonder whether there
is a better X interface for oleo. BTW is it still actively worked on?

Thanks for every hint. I am also willing to look at another spreadsheet, if
these two won't do. So this all boils down to: Which spreadsheet is best
suited for an office environment?

Michael

P.S.: No, I wasn't able to try sc, it just segfaulted.
