scenario : you have changed a config file. now the reconstruction does not
work, so the xdelta does not work, so your system gets broken.

no, thank you. the xdelta could only help, if you keep the original files on
your hard disk. but who has so much hard disk space ? bandwidth for
transfereing files is easier.
