I maintain a mirror of SAL in Australian and find it to be a useful
resource. However since I use few of the packages myself I am nervous
about packaging software which I cannot test thoroughly. (My area
is electronics/VLSI design mostly, and since I am just a student I am
these tools very often.) You, John, have been working hard in getting
many of these packages (especially mathematic) packaged for Debian 2.1.
