Hi, I'm thinking about writing a package that enables debian to package the CPAN Archive into small packages. That's a good thing because you'll not have to package it by hand and you can use dependencies for perl scripts... It should work this way: Explore CPAN for *new* packages (so no old packages get re-packaged), then downloads them, unpack, 'perl Makefile.PL', make, make test. If make or make test fails we'll not package it and put a notice on STDERR. If it works, we'll package it into a debian package with the right description and things like that. It shouldn't be too hard to create these packages because CPAN has strict rules for their packages... What are you thinking about it?? Someone who maybe want to help?? ;-))) cu gerhard
