Manoj, I think you missed the point of his post originally.  It was not
"bash is bad, kill bash".  Rather that he and others prefer to set
bin/sh to point to something else.  This apparently broke some scripts
for him.  

His question was why are we calling /bin/sh yet using bash-isms.  Joey
has said that in the policy manual this is listed as a bug.  So if one
finds a bash script calling /bin/sh we should file a bug.  

Bash is not going away, understood and agreed.  However, developers need
to realize that bash is not the only possible sh.  And that is the point
he is trying to make.
