Matter of personal taste.  It's not a complete system, it's simply new
versions and new software that aren't in hamm.  slink is not guaranteed
not to break - occasionally broken versions sneak into unstable, so it's
not recommended on 'important' machines.

So, if you're not into taking risks and playing with new software for the
sake of it, probably best just to install such packages as you fancy, when
you see them.

AFAIK, there are not yet any CD-roms of slink.  It's not really worth it,
I imagine.

It's probably fine here.  In general, -devel is a good place to talk about
slink.
