autoup problems on malformed setup
I just used autoup.sh to upgrade from my bo install and had some
problems:
1. autoup.sh doesn't seem to like it when the current directory is not
writable (I typed ./autoup.sh on the CD).
2. For some reason all my packages had become status "ri" (i.e.
installed, but scheduled to be removed), this broke autoup.sh as it
looks for "^ii". I fixed this by changing the regexp to "^.i".
I am not sure whether autoup.sh belongs to anypackage to file a bug
to.
ciao,
Jan (recovering from a night spend fighting with the UI of dselect.
please get APT out fast)
