I agre here... '/usr/bin' is getting to big as it is... I have over 1600 files
there... Makes it hard to find a program that suites a specific purpose...

Isn't those more tied to X than any other? Without a WM, X is pretty useless...

right! emacs isn't a X program... It can function good (better?) in X, but it
is not a X program...

I vote for b... Everything that have something that have to do with X (ie, things
that can't work without X, like xanim, x11amp, xmikmod etc).

If b meens emacs, 'vim changing xterm title' etc, then I also vote for a.
