Looked at the page, impressive if it does what it claims it will. Pretty impressive with what it does NOW in the alpha versions. I'm hoping we'll see this MTA become serious competition, it is a superior design--even though it doesn't appear to support system wide MDA at this time. That is after all a simple thing to add to a modular program. I'm also concerned that apparently some part of IBM is involved in some way. The license terms have not been spelled out, but the word "freeware" has been used. The question I have: Is his planned license going to meet the DFSG? Based on what I've seen on the site, the author will probably be happy to put it under DFSG-free license, and that point will be a major competition issue between it and qmail. Based on what I've read here, most think I haven't got a chance in hell of convincing DJB that a DFSG-free license is a good thing. If that's the case, I'll be happy to trade qmail for a free program.
