Cheap netwinder computers

On slashdot they have an article about cheap netwinder computers.  Can
anyone testify as to exactly how far along the linux port is?  If I
get one of these things, will I be able to do anything at all with it
other than try and get things to work?  I heard the processor was
*much* slower than an Intel as far as its FPU is concerned.  Comments?

Should Debian as an organization get one of these?  Maybe I missed
that discussion...
