Along with several other <put interesting adjective here> people, I have
been asked to serve on that committee when it "finally" comes into
existance. I suppose at that time, I will be forced to reorganize my time
to deal with policy issues at some level.

The whole point of splitting lists (which I do not think is actually
realized) is to reduce the load on the "necessary" lists. As soon as these
"spin-off" lists become "necessary" they loose their purpose for
existance.

While the different mailing lists make "threading" or filtering the mail
easier, they do not deal with the problem of having to read the *%&$*#
stuff ;-)

When my RL schedule was not as hectic as it has become these last few
months (gee...it's been a year?) I subscribed, and participated in
debian-user as well as debian-devel, and had no problem keeping the two
separate.

We need a device like the Riddler built, but instead of stealing brain
waves, just borrow the viewing time, for resale to those of us who need it
so much more ;-)

Good idea...
